Chapter funds are limited and normally reserved for projects.  Hence, cost of travel is shared and each traveler pays his or her own food, lodging and personal expenses.  You can ask your specialty coordinator or trip coordinator for a cost estimate for your destination.

Travel light.  Bring cool clothing for warm days and extra layers for colder days or nights.  Dress is informal, but should be proper for local customs/culture.  Proof of citizenship (*passport or original birth certificate is required to cross the border. 

 If you must cancel your trip for any reason, let the coordinator know ASAP, or better yet find a replacement.

To ensure that you do not forget any important items, keep the  list on the right  handy as a guide:                 

*After January 23, 2007 the only proof of citizenship allowed for travel to Mexico will be a valid passport.

As of mid-2009 all pilots must provide Homeland Security with the following information on each passenger when traveling into Mexico with the Flying Samaritans:

1.       1.  First Name and Last Name – as it appears on the passport

2.       2.  Physical address (people don’t live in PO Boxes)

3.       3.  Date of Birth

4.       4.  Passport Number

5.       5.  Passport Expiration Date
